Liza’s Gallery was opened by the artist couple Rupert Sutton (UK) and Liza Krügermeier (DK) in 2003.
Originally, Liza’s Gallery was opened on the Greek island of Leros. But in 2007 Liza’s Gallery moved from the Mediterranean to the Danish island of Møn. Now the Gallery is situated in one of the historic buildings in Farverstræde, right in the middle of Stege town. The old buildings, dating back to 1774 and worthy of preservation, make a unique frame for the gallery. The different exhibition rooms, the old court yard and the charm of the old buildings create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere in which visitors can enjoy the artwork on display.
The work of Rupert Sutton and Lisa Krügermeier is always displayed in the Gallery. In addition, each year, the Gallery presents a varied exhibition programme of artists from Denmark and abroad. The many activities and events ensure that visitors will always find a new and interesting collection of paintings and artwork. The guest exhibitors in the Gallery come from various backgrounds and with different levels of artistic education. Several of the exhibitors are represented in museums all over the world.
In 2013, the Gallery presents not less than 9 theme exhibitions. Click here for the 2013 exhibition programme.
In addition to the gallery, visitors will find the gallery shop has a broad variety of arts & crafts, textile & ceramic designs, cards & prints and gift ideas.
